Our supportive services and resources provide information, education, and physical, emotional, social, mental, and spiritual care for people who are living with a neurological condition, as well as their loved ones and caregivers.
Stroke Education
The Joint Commission's Certificate of Distinction for Primary Stroke Centers recognizes the efforts of Torrance Memorial Medical Center’s Stroke Center to prevent strokes in our community as well as treat them. Our Community Education Department speaks at community centers, churches, conferences, and events to raise awareness of how to prevent strokes, the signs and symptoms of stroke, and what to do if a stroke should occur.
Torrance Memorial offers a free Speakers' Bureau to groups of 15 or more. To schedule a speaker, call the Torrance Memorial Speakers Bureau at 310-517-4706.
Support Groups
Torrance Memorial provides stroke patients and family caregivers education and support; meets monthly on the first Wednesday of the month at 10:00 am. For more information call, 310-325-9110, ext 1008.
Home Health & Hospice
Serving our South Bay area, Torrance Memorial Home Health and Hospice is California-licensed, Medicare-certified, and accredited by the Joint Commission. Our home health care team works with patients and their families to ensure they received the best care possible, and helps coordinate other services and treatments as necessary.
