Multidisciplinary Tumor Board
Hunt Cancer Institute specialists participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards, including tumor boards specific to breast, gastrointestinal, lung and brain tumors. Board participants include pathologists, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgical oncologists, geneticists and more. Cancer experts from Torrance Memorial and Cedars-Sinai hold meetings for specific cancer types to discuss patient care and ensure everyone is up-to-date on the latest clinical trials, guidelines, treatments and technology.

Nurse Navigator Program
Getting a diagnosis of cancer is devastating enough. But as anyone who has tackled cancer knows, it’s just the beginning. Nurse navigators guide patients along the path to recovery by helping them make informed medical decisions, assisting with scheduling multiple doctors' appointments and tests, making sure they stay on track with their treatment plans, running interference on insurance issues and offering emotional support. All this is at no additional charge to patients.
