Zachary Abelson, MD, specializes in obstetrics and gynecology. He earned his undergraduate degrees in molecular cell biology/neurobiology with a minor in music from the University of California, Berkeley. He went on to receive his medical degree from Albany Medical College in New York. He completed his OB/GYN residency at Los Angeles County + University of Southern California Medical Center (LAC + USC).
Dr. Abelson was inducted into the National Gold Humanism Honor Society in 2018. He was recognized for compassionate patient care and his service as a role model, mentor and leader in medicine.
A Southern California native, Dr. Abelson grew up in Cerritos, CA, and is happy to be serving the South Bay community. He is known for his warm personality and ability to connect with his patients. Dr. Abelson provides gynecological and obstetrical care focused on women’s unique needs at every stage in their lives. His professional interests also include health equity, mental health, advocacy, trauma, and integrative medicine.
In his free time Dr. Abelson enjoys spending time with his family and friends, traveling, eating, listening to music, and rocking out with his band.
