Torrance Memorial IPA is a multi-specialty physician network providing convenient access to high-quality and personalized care with over 500 primary care and specialty physicians, as well as nationally recognized Torrance Memorial Medical Center.
Dr. Won Shin is board certified in family medicine. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles. He graduated with his Doctor of Medicine from the Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia. He then completed his family medicine residency at Charles R. Drew University Medicine and Science in Los Angeles.
Dr. Shin is extensively trained to practice the full spectrum of outpatient family medicine with a particular interest in urgent care settings, in-office procedures, and high-quality healthcare delivery. His clinical leadership and volunteer experience have brought him recognition as someone who gives back to his community. He also served as a field medic in the Republic of Korea Army, providing medical care to military personnel, dependents, and civilians.
In his free time, Dr. Shin enjoys cooking, traveling and golf. He is fluent in English and Korean.
