Dr. Raquel Fernandez has been board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics since 2009. She graduated from UC Irvine in 2002 with a B.S. in biology, specializing in molecular biology and biochemistry. She received her medical degree from UC Davis School of Medicine in 2006. She completed both her internship and residency programs at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles in 2009. She has been actively practicing medicine in Torrance ever since.
Dr. Fernandez is a South Bay native. She was raised in Hawthorne and continues to live in the South Bay with her husband and three sons. She loves working in the community where she lives and feels honored to be able to help the children of the South Bay and neighboring areas. She is Cuban American and fluent in Spanish.
When not in the office, Dr. Fernandez loves spending time with her family and staying active as a boy mom. On the weekends, you will find them boogie boarding at the beach, playing and watching sports, riding ATV's in the desert, or riding roller coasters at Disneyland. She also loves traveling the world with her family, exposing her sons to different cultures.
