George J. So, MD, MSE received his medical training at the University of Chicago, Pritzker School of Medicine. He continued his internal medicine internship at Cedar Sinai Medical Center and his radiology residency training at the University of California, Los Angeles Medical Center where he was elected as Chief Resident. Dr. So is board certified and is a diplomat of the American Board of Radiology. He is also fellowship trained at the University of California, Los Angeles in both neuroradiology, and cardiovascular/interventional radiology. Before his medical training, Dr. So studied electrical engineering and computer engineering; he graduated Summa Cum Laude in both degrees. He has performed extensive research in hardware design and optimization in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) at the University of California, Berkeley and the University of California, San Francisco and has published numerous original research articles in peer-reviewed journals. Dr So has co-authored chapters in medical textbooks and has received research grants from the National Institute of Health.

Dr. So is the president of the Los Angeles Radiological Society. He was Chief in the Department of Radiology at Torrance Memorial Medical Center and was appointed clinical assistant professor in the Department of Radiological Sciences at UCLA Medical Center. He has also served as Chairman in Continuing Education Committee at the Los Angeles Radiological Society, Board Member of the California Radiological Society, and Counselor of the American College of Radiology.
