Dr. David Chan is a widely recognized specialist in breast cancer and the author of the highly acclaimed book Breast Cancer: Real Questions/Real Answers, A Guide for Patients and Families, Dr. Chan completed medical school and residency at UCLA followed by specialty training at Stanford.

Dr. Chan taught for more than 20 years at the Revlon/UCLA Breast Center where he trained numerous medical students and oncology fellows on the treatment of breast cancer. He was instrumental in helping to develop the TRIO/UCLA Translational Research Institute, one of the top clinical research programs in the world. 

Dr. Chan has co-authored studies on breast cancer HER2 targeting antibodies and CDK inhibitors. His current areas of research include checkpoint immunotherapy for breast cancer and the development of liquid biopsy cell free DNA detection in the blood for cancer detection and monitoring.
