Dr. Yaghmai received her undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Virginia with a major in Biology and minor in Psychology. She has done extensive basic science research and published articles in traumatic brain injury. She then attended medical school and received her medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.
After medical school, Dr. Yaghmai completed a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. She then completed a two year Neuroradiology fellowship at University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Yaghmai is board-certified by the American Board of Radiology. She maintains her Certificate of Added Qualifications in Neuroradiology as well.
While she specializes in neuroradiology, which involves imaging and procedures related to the brain, spine, head and neck; Dr. Yaghmai has interests in studies and image guided procedures of the body as well.
