Dr. Kristen Gutermuth is a physician who is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She got her medical degree at UCLA, and completed her Internal Medicine residency at George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, DC.
Dr. Gutermuth has been practicing medicine for over 15 years, with varied special interests in depression, diabetes and nutrition, and end of life care. She feels that her goal is not necessarily to make people live longer, but to help people live better while they are alive – which often leads to better longevity.
A life long learner, Dr. Gutermuth also loves to teach. She feels that it is not much good to tell someone to do something if you don't also tell them how, and why it is important to do it.
Being the mother of three, Dr. Gutermuth does not have a lot of down time, but she loves to hike with her family, play tennis when possible, and read a good book.
