Dr. Jason Alvarado is a Family Medicine and Sports Medicine physician. He is a Chicago native and received his undergraduate Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Chicago, Illinois, and his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. He came to Los Angeles in 2015 in order to pursue his internship and residency training in Family Medicine at Harbor-UCLA, where he also completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine.
Dr. Alvarado provides full spectrum primary care for adolescents to adults and is passionate about collaborating with his patients to live happy and healthy lives. With his sports medicine expertise, he has a specific interest in treating and preventing musculoskeletal injuries both on and off the field. He has served as the treating physician for numerous sporting events and organizations, including Ironman, the Dew Tour, Cirque Du Soleil, USTA tennis, USA Water Polo, and the Southern California Special Olympics. During his free time, he continues to serve as team physician for local high school and community organization teams, and provide event coverage for local races and competitions.
When not treating patients and athletes, Dr. Alvarado enjoys cycling, running, being outside, and spending time with his wife. Together they love rooting for Chicago sports teams, and taking care of their bossy corgi. He is fluent in Spanish and strives toward a patient-centered approach to caring for people from all walks of life.
