Michelle Charfen, MD

Dr. Michelle Charfen is a board certified emergency medicine physician. She attended Stanford University as an undergraduate and then Harvard Medical School. She completed her emergency medicine residency training and a research fellowship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center during which she obtained a Masters of Science in Epidemiology from the School of Public Health at UCLA. She worked as faculty at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and as an assistant clinical professor at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA until 2008 when she left academics to spend more time with her growing family while continuing to practice emergency medicine in a local community hospital. In 2021, she joined the staff at the Torrance Memorial Urgent Care in Manhattan Beach and Torrance and now serves as the Medical Director for the Torrance Memorial Urgent Care in El Segundo.
