Dr. Rogers first earned a master's degree in physical therapy before completing her medical degree and becoming a spine surgeon. Having both degrees provides her with an in-depth perspective that is rare among spine doctors. Because of it, she has the unique ability to determine whether non-surgical options or minimally invasive spine surgery may be the best treatment for each patient. "My patients appreciate the extra care and skill they get from having a physical therapist and surgeon in one," she points out. "They understand that I have an edge in diagnosis and treatment because of my strong physical therapy background, and vice-versa."

This combination and her unrivaled surgical skills make her the South Bay's leading spine specialist. Getting to know her patients makes her days priceless, she says. "I get to help people of all ages and give them a new chance at a much better life."

As an All-American basketball player for the University of Utah, Dr. Rogers sustained a back injury that led her toward a career in physical therapy, then medicine. A lifelong athlete, she naturally developed a passion for restoring people to health and helping them get back to doing what they love. Her physical therapy education, medical education, and spine specialist fellowship led her to the South Bay, where she also discovered some local passions, surfing and boating.

Dr. Rogers chose to practice spine surgery at Torrance Memorial Physician Network because she admired how committed the doctors here are to patients' total health. "It's the best place to go if you want a comprehensive solution to your orthopedic problem," she says. "And it's in the South Bay—convenient, beautiful, and with the best people anywhere."
