Dr. Richard H. Huynh earned his B.S. in biochemistry and his M.S. in biochemistry and molecular biology at the University of California, Riverside. He traveled across the country to receive his M.D. at New York Medical College. After which, he returned to his roots and completed his residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance. He joined the faculty at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in general internal medicine prior to starting his pulmonary/critical care fellowship at UCLA Medical Center.

During his fellowship, Dr. Huynh was involved in numerous basic science and clinical research studies earning him the 2015 American Thoracic Society International Conference Abstract Scholarship. His areas of interest include idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) and other interstitial lung diseases (ILD).

Born and raised in Southern California, Dr. Huynh is an avid fan of the Los Angeles Lakers. When he’s not at work, Dr. Huynh enjoys yelling at his team on TV, cooking, and traveling the world.
