Rebecca Grace Philipson, MD

Dr. Rebecca Philipson is a board-certified radiation oncologist at Torrance Memorial Medical Center. She is originally from Oakland, California, and completed her undergraduate degree at Tufts University. She earned her MD from UCLA, and continued at UCLA for radiation oncology residency, where she served as Chief Resident. During this time, she also completed advanced training in clinical informatics.

Dr. Philipson has published numerous peer-reviewed journal articles covering a breadth of disease sites, advanced radiotherapy techniques such as SRS and SBRT, patient-reported outcomes, and outcome-driven treatment planning. She has received several research awards including the ASCO Conquer Cancer Foundation Merit Award for Genitourinary Cancers. Dr. Philipson also serves as the Thoracic Associate Editor for a prominent web-based oncology platform, theMednet.

In her free time, Dr. Philipson enjoys hiking with her husband, yoga, baking, and live music.
