Torrance Memorial is Awarded One of Newsweek’s World’s Best Hospitals 2024
TORRANCE, Calif., February 28, 2024 – Torrance Memorial Medical Center has been recognized by Newsweek as part of its list of World’s Best Hospitals 2024. This year, Torrance Memorial ranks as the 43rd best hospital in the nation, 10th best in California and places Torrance Memorial in the top elite 150 to 250 hospitals in the world.
This prestigious award is presented by Newsweek and Statista Inc., the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider. The awards list was announced on February 28, 2024, and can currently be viewed on the Newsweek website. World's Best Hospitals 2024 - Newsweek Rankings
Newsweek partnered with Statista Inc., to develop a complex methodology to ensure the quality and validity of the ranking. Four data sources were used for the evaluation: recommendations from medical experts, results from patient surveys, hospital quality metrics, and Statista’s voluntary Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) survey.
Out of the thousands of qualified organizations in the world, Torrance Memorial earned this distinction in the United States and the state of California as is also pleased to be recognized as one of Newsweek’s 2024 list of the top 150 to 250 World’s Best Hospitals.
