Torrance Memorial Advances in the U.S. News & World Report Rankings and is the Top 3% Hospital in California Again!

TORRANCE, Calif., August 1, 2023 Torrance Memorial Medical Center has again been recognized as the Best Hospital for 2023-24 for the twelfth straight year by U.S. News & World Report, placing the hospital in the top 3% in California.

Torrance Memorial moved up in rankings from 11th to 9th as the highest ranking for overall hospital quality in California. This year, Torrance Memorial also advanced in the rankings from 5th to 4th in the Los Angeles/Orange County region. Ranking “High Performing” in seven specialties and 15 of 21 procedures and conditions, Torrance Memorial is also distinguished as Nationally ranked in Diabetes and Endocrinology.

We also congratulate our Cedars-Sinai Health System affiliate partners, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, which tied for #1 in California, and Huntington Health, which ranked #12 in California.

For the 2023-2043 rankings and ratings, U.S. News evaluated more than 4,500 hospitals across 15 specialties and 21 procedures and conditions. “For 34 years, U.S. News has provided data-informed rankings to help patients and their doctors find the best hospital to treat their illness or condition,” said Ben Harder, chief of health analysis and managing editor at U.S. News.

The U.S. News Best Hospitals methodology factors in data from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, American Hospital Association, professional organizations and medical specialists.
