Torrance Memorial Awarded as One of Newsweek’s World’s Best Hospitals 2022
Torrance Memorial Moves up to rank 39th in the Nation and 10th in California
TORRANCE, Calif., March 2, 2022 – Torrance Memorial Medical Center has been recognized by Newsweek as part of its list of World’s Best Hospitals 2022. This year, Torrance Memorial moved up a point to rank as the 39th best hospital in the nation, 10th best in California and places Torrance Memorial in the top elite 150-250 hospitals in the world.
This prestigious award is presented by Newsweek and Statista Inc., the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider. The awards list was announced on March 2, 2022 and can currently be viewed on the Newsweek website. Best Hospitals 2022 - United States (newsweek.com)
Newsweek partnered with Statista Inc., to develop a complex methodology to ensure the quality and validity of the ranking. Three data sources were used for the evaluation: hospital recommendations from peers, patient experience, and various medical KPIs.
Out of the thousands of qualified organizations in the world, Torrance Memorial earned this distinction in the United States and the state of California. Torrance Memorial is pleased to be recognized as one of Newsweek’s 2022 list of the top 150-250 World’s Best Hospitals.
