Torrance Memorial Awarded as One of Newsweek's World's Best Hospitals 2020
TORRANCE, Calif., March 6, 2020 – Torrance Memorial Medical Center has been recognized by Newsweek as part of its list of World’s Best Hospitals 2020. Torrance Memorial ranked as the 48th best hospital in the nation and 10th best in California according to the listing.
This prestigious award is presented by Newsweek and Statista Inc., the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider. The awards list was announced on March 6, 2020 and can currently be viewed on the Newsweek website. https://www.newsweek.com/best-hospitals-2020
Newsweek partnered with Statista Inc., to develop a complex methodology to ensure the quality and validity of the ranking. Three data sources were used for the evaluation: hospital recommendations from peers, patient experience, and various medical KPIs.
Out of the thousands of qualified organizations in the world, Torrance Memorial earned this distinction in the United States and the state of California. Torrance Memorial is pleased to be recognized as one of Newsweek’s 2020 list of the World’s Best Hospitals.
