The Torrance Memorial Medical Center's goal of high quality care is shared by the Department of Radiation Oncology. We are committed to treating each cancer patient as an individual. Treatment programs are highly individualized with custom set-up and computerized treatment planning. Close attention is paid to symptom management throughout treatment. Along with physicians, registered nurses are available to assist in this regard. Dietary counseling is available as needed. Throughout the course of treatment, the entire staff is attuned to making each patient's experience as favorable as possible.

Our facility utilizes state-of-the-art equipment, including the Varian 2100C Linear Accelerator, Ximatron simulator and a Varian 6X machine. We also utilize brachytherapy and beta irradiation when indicated.

Special Instructions/Consultation

Our office will need the following information when scheduling an initial patient consultation:

1. Pertinent pathology reports
2. Reports of pertinent imaging studies
3. List of current medications
4. Patient's insurance information

Be sure to preregister prior to your appointment. If surgery is scheduled at Torrance Memorial Medical Center, patients do not need to register in our department.

Location: West Wing, Lower Level (basement)

Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The physicians may also be contacted through the Medical Center operator for emergencies.
